Back-end Configurations

  • To add a Custom JS code snippet, navigate to the WordPress Admin Dashboard → Post Snippets → Add Custom JS.
  • The add new snippet page will open.

Add a Snippet Title

  • Enter a Snippet Title that will help you identify the snippet in the All Snippet page.

Code Editor

  • This is the block of JS code which is applied on the front end or in the admin . 
  • Type in your JS code without the <script></script> tags as they are already placed in the Code Editor.

Action Panel

  • The Actions panel is located on the right hand side of the page.
  • It contains the Download Snippet button. This button allows you to download the previous snippet version from the cloud. 
  • It contains the Upload Snippet button. This button allows you to upload the current snippet version on the cloud and update the previous snippet. 
  • You can also duplicate the snippet. Click on the Duplicate Snippet button if you want to duplicate it.
  • You can also change the status of your current snippet from the Status dropdown menu. Change it between Active and InActive.

Options Panel

  • This section lets you choose where the JS code should be applied on Page and in Site.
  • Where On Page options:
    • Header: Lets you apply JS on the header of the page.
    • Footer: Lets you apply JS on the footer of the page.
  • Where In Site options:
    • In Front End – The CSS snippet will only be applied on the frontend.
      • When you select this option, it will enable Apply Only on These URLs and Preview section.
  • In Admin – The CSS snippet will only be applied on the Admin Pages of the site.

Groups

  • If you want to add your snippet in a group, select a group from the Groups panel.

Add Description

  • You can add an optional description for the Snippet. 
  • Type in the description for the snippet in the Description.

Apply CSS only on these URLs

Note: This section is enabled when the In Front-End option is selected from the Where in Site options panel.

  • The admin can select the option from the drop down menu.
    • All Website – JS will be applied to all of the Front End.
    • Home Page –  JS will be applied only on the homepage.
    • All Pages – JS will be applied on all the front end of all the pages.
    • All Posts – JS will be applied to all the posts.
  • Specific Page/Post – Choose Specific Page or Post in the select box right after it and click on the Add button.

Preview

  • This section is enabled when the In Front-End option is selected from the Where in Site options panel.
  • This section will provide the Full URL of the page to preview on which the changes have been made.
